The Series:
Angel is a spin-off to the very successful Buffy – the vampire slayer – series. It was no effort for the vampire with a soul to gain enough fans and support so he had to come back with his own show after leaving buffy. Angel goes to LA and fights vampires and demons in the city of angels. He gets help without asking for it and in the beginning Angel really tries to get rid of the half demon with his strange visions. Together with Doyle and Cordelia – who actually is in LA for her final breakthrough as an actress – the vampire forms “Angel Investigations” and the specialise for mysterious cases. This way they hope to make some money.
But Angel doesn’t only fight vampires and demons in LA. Not enough scum in the streets, this time he has to fight scum in suits. Wolfram and Hart, Attorneys at law also specialised for mysterious cases… unfortunately they normally help the dark creatures to keep them out of jail and away from justice.
Christian Kane and his character:
Christian plays young and ambitioned lawyer Lindsey McDonald, which is probably the role that is most popular and known to people all over the globe and drew most fans’ attention to him.
Lindsey is young, handsome and successful. He seems caught between the stools. He doesn’t feel okay with everything that happens in the office. At some point Lindsey has to decide, which side he wants to be on. Hard to believe, but young Lindsey sticks to Wolfram and Hart and therefore he and Angel end up as enemies. But it takes a woman, to really take their relationship to a new level of real hatred. At least for Lindsey who finally wants to kill Angel, no matter that his bosses have different plans for the vampire...

Angel is thrilling from the first to the very last episode of the complete series. Okay, you have to like stuff with vampires and demons in, but the series just never gets boring. Surprising twists tear you back into the story again and again and keep the whole five seasons from becoming boring.
The characters are complex, you can't devide them into "good" and "evil" as easily as you think. This fact gives the scriptwriters many possibillities to play games with the audience. Once you've made up your mind, this guy is one of the bad guys... he does something completely different und you find yourself wondering again, where the character belongs. They change sides, enemies become teammembers just to betray each other again... One thing is for sure: It's close to impossible to get bored by Angel. Of course there are ups and downs. Some episodes are a bit weak others are just incredible... but all in all tendency goes to "great" instead of "average".
Unfortunately Germany didn't even get to see the last two seasons. The show was cancelled for whatsoever reason! by Amancham
