As some questions occured in mails or on the discussion board over and over again, we decided to start an FAQ page on our website although there is one already on the official site ;) However, here are some of the frequently asked questions. If you have any question not listed on this page, please send a mail to kanecountry(at)gmail.com (or simply use the form to send in a new question) and we will try and answer it for you. This page will have more contents as the questions are brought to us.

Is this Christian's official website? Can I reach him?
Answer:
NO!! ... and no. Sorry. KaneCountry.info is just a fanproject. We are fans, just like you, and we thought it would be nice to collect all kinds of information for other Kaniacs. Christian's official website can be found at www.christiankane.com

Questions about the music

When will the new CD come out? Or the single, at least?
Answer:
According to an interview on SheKnows.com Christian is planning a Single release in April and the Album might even come in June or earlier as he has set himself June as a deadline. He certainly wants to get the album out before Leverage starts again.

What about the long promised single release and the album? Will there actually be a new CD at all?
Answer:
Yes, there will be a new album and they are working with some great folks to get it done. Release will be announced once they can actually tell when it comes out. Like mentioned in a different question already: There are some changes right now and we will have to wait until business stuff is all settled. So be patient.

Will there be a tour anytime soon? (UK, US, Germany ....)
Answer:
Unfortunately ... well, actually fortunately for him Christian has to go back to filming Leverage Season 2 (they will start showing that this summer) so any plans for touring to any place are delayed for now. Doesn't mean he'll never come ;)

What's up with the change on Myspace to being unsigned and what little information about Christian they had on the columbia page being gone?
Answer:
I'm not Christian's manager, mind you. I don't have clear information on this matter. I was told that they are currently making some changes (obviously) and I'm sure we will be informed about those asap. That's just business folks, not broadcast. We will have to sit back and wait. But honestly ... you really want to do all the boring paperwork and such? I don't. Anyway. The CD will come out and they are working with some great folks to make this happen. That's what I was told.

Ordering CDs ... don't they have a regional code, too? Just like DVDs? Can I listen to CDs from America?
Answer:
Yes, you can and no, they don't ;) We can tell for sure that you can play music CDs from the states in any ordinary CD-Player or on your computer. We tested that, of course.

When will KANE / Christian Kane / Steve Carlson come to my area (especially Europe)?
Answer:
As soon as we get information about this we will put it up on the website. Unfortunately we don't have the gift of foresight and as Christian is currently very busy filming we will have to be patient.
Please understand that we don't have the time and possibility at the moment, to follow and post all his steps in the states. As soon as our private situation clears up and we have more time we will put up information on this matter, too.

Where can I buy the CDs from Steve Carlson?
Answer:
Steve's CDs can be found on iTunes or at www.cdbaby.com (they also have international delivery. Tested by the team of KaneCountry.info and we love it) Otherwise you can check out the official page of Steve Carlson and look for other ways to order. But Steve's CDs are also not available on Amazon. (Though sometimes you can find them on there via Marketplace!)

Where can I buy the CDs from Kane? I couldn't find them at Amazon or in stores
Answer:
This question requires two answers. First about the Kane Debut (brownCover). Unfortunately this CD is sold out and you can only find it occasionally on Amazon or Ebay but the prizes are mostly way to high.
But you can still buy the Acoustic Live in London (whiteCover) by going to Christian's Official site www.christiankane.com, and clicking on "Merchandise". You can either purchase a MP3 download version or the real thing, a hard copy of the CD.

Questions about movies/TV-shows

When will Leverage Season 2 start? And when will the DVDs for Season 1 come out?
Answer:
According to the official TNT website, season 2 will start this summer. As for the DVDs: We don't know more than you, but as soon as we find any information on the release, we will certainly inform you ;)

Short and simple: No. Christian will keep doing both.

What happened to the smoke signals? They've been dead for quite a while now.
Answer:
According to his management Christian has taken to only updating his MySpace blog for now. My guess is, that he's just really busy and the more blogs and such you have to keep up to date, the less time for other stuff. So best thing for now is to check out his MySpace frequently. We will inform you about changes and in case the smoke signals come up again ;)

Okay. You can stop right there. As stated in several places: We are a FANSITE not the official site and I am just your ordinary fangirl as is everyone else who is working on this website. We don't have Christian's phonenumber, email or postal address and he doesn't call us. So as much as I would like to help you out ... I can't as I have no way of reaching him. Sorry.

Answer:
You can purchase via PayPal, too on the Christian Kane Shop, on Steve Carlson Merchandise and on CDbaby.com.
If neither PayPal nor credit card are an option for you, try contacting the website/shopowener. On the offical website for Christian Kane there's an adress to write to in such cases (kaneteamers(at)aol.com). Drop them a line, tell them about your problem and they will try and make it work for you.
For Steve Carlson you can contact him directly. You can reach him via MySpace or the website. For sure he'll try and figure something out.

Where can I get an autograph from Christian? Is there an address to write to?
Answer:
Not that we would know about it. So far you can get autographs only directly after a gig or on conventions. Normally after a gig Christian likes to come down for a drink and mingle with the fans so you just can walk up to him and ask nicely.
